In the first decades of the 19th century, this area was full of vineyards and summer houses of wealthy people. On swapped space, the reeds and rushes, originated the first park. The beginnings of a park trail in an interesting document - a letter dated 24 February 1831 year, in which, inter alia, said:
"No do not let that car over Topčider it is going to spoil the meadows"
